  • Card Game: Dinner Rush

  • Card Game: Dinner Rush

    SETUP:

    • Remove the Jokers from the deck and place them aside. They will not be used.
    • Remove all 8s, 9s, and 10s from the deck. Shuffle these together and place face down in the center of the table. This is the Printer.
    • Shuffle the rest of the cards together and deal them evenly to all players. These are the Ingredients and Action Cards.
    • Players can look at their own cards.
    • The player to go first is the player who has eaten at T-BONES the most. Play continues clockwise.

    TURN ACTIONS
    1. If it is your turn, you may play ONE Action Card before flipping a ticket (Optional):

    • King – Restock!: Draw the top two ingredient cards (not action cards) from the compost pile.
    • Queen – Recook!: Steal a completed ticket of your choice from another player.
    • Jack – Shift Change!: All other players must give you one ingredient card of your choice.

    2. FLIP A TICKET: Draw and reveal the top card from the printer. This is the ticket to be completed. Tickets are valued at the face value of the card. For Example: A 9 ticket requires ingredients totaling 9. Suits do not matter

    3. COMPLETE THE TICKET: Any player may immediately play cards from their hand that add up to the ticket’s value. Secret Ingredient! Aces are plus one or minus one to ingredient total. The first player to play the required cards the fastest gets the ticket. Their ingredients are placed in a Compost Pile (a discard pile). Other players who attempted to complete the ticket have their ingredients returned to their hands. The player who completed the ticket takes it and puts it aside in a pile for later scoring.

    GAME END
The game ends when all tickets are completed OR A ticket is revealed that no one can complete.

    SCORING

    • Tickets: Each ticket is worth its face value.
    • Food Waste: Subtract 1 point for each ingredient left in your hand at the end of the game. Subtract 2 points for every action card left in your hand.
    • Employee of the Month: The highest scoring player wins!
